The state takes care of this money until worker retires, Premium Pension The remaining 2.5 percentage points go to the premium pension. This money is saved in funds, and employee can decide in which funds the money is to be invested. The Swedish Pensions Agency manages this system. If the employee does not make your own choice, money will be placed in the pre-selection option AP7 Såfa. Survivor's Pension Survivors' pension: widow, widower, registered partner, and cohabitant can receive this for a limited period. Children of the deceased receive a child pension up to and including the month they turn age 18. Sickness Benefit The first day employee is home is counted as a qualifying day; the employer pays sick pay between days 2-14. Sickness benefit is paid from the Swedish Social Insurance Agency from day 15-90 in the event of illness. Mandatory Leave Statutory leaves and allowances (annual leave 25 days minimum, sick leave, maternity, parental leave, childbirth allowance). There are options for employers to supplement the state's base allowance/compensation level regarding, e.g., sick leave and parental leave. Parental Leave The right to actual leave is regulated in the Parental Leave Act and certain special ordinances, such as ordinances for government employees.
Supplemental Benefits: Wellness allowance(maximum of 5000SEK per year), Car Allowance, Meal Allowance, Occupational Pension, Private Health Care Insurance. Benefits are subject to Tax in Sweden
Paid Leave: Employees are entitled to a minimum of 25 working days. Compensation can be treated as it follows:
1. The qualifying year In Sweden, the "qualifying year" for vacation (also known as the earning year) is the period from January 1st to December 31st of the preceding year, according to the Annual Leave Act. This is the period during which employees accrue vacation days. The "vacation year" (or annual leave year) is the period when those accrued vacation days are actually taken, and it runs from January 1st to December 31st of the following year.
2. Advanced Vacation Advance vacation means that the employee receives paid leave without the leave having been earned, for example, during their first year of employment. If the employee has a new job and has not yet earned vacation, you can agree with your employer to receive advance vacation. If you leave your employment within five years, the advanced holiday can be deducted from any holiday entitlement you have remaining. This does not apply, however, if your employment is terminated due to illness or redundancy due to a shortage of work.
